The History of Mosart, Inc. Audio.
Like so many of you, my joinery in the music and audio world started very early and it really took off when I was 15 and I heard my first real stereo, a Dynaco 70 amp and preamp, an Dual turntable and AR-7’s.Since then I have strived to constantly achieve better sound through whatever system I could afford at the time and this passion continues today.
I joined the DC HiFi Group in 2018 and I was introduced first and foremost, to a group of guys who have spent most of their lives enjoying music and its reproduction to its highest levels. Many of the members design and build various high end components and circuitry for the marketplace as well as being experts in analogue and digital components and their respective setups and tweaking. The knowledge base within this group is phenomenal and once they knew that I made fine art furniture, they encouraged me to design and build a better cabinet than my old Salamander, which was causing major vibration issues with my analogue rig. So, I went down the vibration rabbit hole reading, researching, and talking possible design and isolation philosophies and scenarios with the membership and decided to reinvent the mouse trap. I had a concept of building a very high quality rack or stand that became the internal exoskeleton of the cabinet out of a very dense and non-resonant material called Black Diamond by Richlite, and then clad it in highly decorative panels and doors, which are completely isolated from the exoskeleton utilizing an aerospace based vibration control material. The design was further enhanced by the isolation of each shelf from each other, the lower legs from the upper legs, and the interchangeable feet from the floor. This prototype cabinet is entitled Quieten and it resides in my listening room where its performance is amazing. The cabinet in fully customizable in size, wood species, color, and decoration to meet the individual needs of the client. The cabinet deputed at the Capital Audio Fest in 2019 and seeing the reaction of the show participants, I decided to expand my thinking to include turntable platforms, amp and equipment stands, dustcovers, etc. Special thanks goes out to Jose Ramirez of Dr. Vinyl fame and Paul Elliot of MyAudioPhrenia for all their support and encouragement.
